Nostalgia is a pseudo-feeling.
It inspires feelings of longing and want
For things that we didn't have in the first place.
You long for one chance-
Just one,
To go back.
But, when granted,
This one short visit
Does you more harm than help.
Your mental reserves are depleted,
And your emotional cavities
Are emptied and washed clean,
Leaving you feeling
Alone
Helpless
Cold
